Types of vehicles

Indica, Ford Figo are the small hatchback cars used for travelling of 3 passengers. The transport authorities allow only 3 passengers and driver in these types of vehicles. The luggage of three passengers would make the vehicle full and ride would not be much comfortable. This type of taxi is usually hired by small families as well as couples and bachelors.

Another segment of sedans are available for the comfortable travelling. The advantage of these cars is that the luggage of the guest can be easily kept in the boot space and that assures comfortable and safe travelling.

For medium families and small groups it is prefer to hire taxi like Toyota Innova, Tavera, Chevorlet Enjoy etc. These types of cars can easily accommodate 6 passengers and driver or 7 passengers and driver. In these cases also the guest should take care of the space of the vehicles. Some drivers say, while riding to hilly areas and through rash roads sometimes the bottom of the vehicle touch the ground. So the volume of luggage also should be considered before fixing an Innova, Tavera or Enjoy for Taxi purpose in Kerala. It is suggested that even if the number of persons are 6 or 7 with more luggage it is better to opt for a 10 seater Tempo Traveller. In that case the luggage can be easily accommodated and more space and comfort can be enjoyed. There will a difference of Rs.1000/- per day comparing with an Innova.

The small groups with more than 7 passengers are usually opt for Tempo Travellers. There are 10, 12, 17 and 24 seater Tempo Travellers available in Kerala for hiring. Some Tempo Travellers having luxuriously done interiors and provide better travel experience. Most of these Tempo Travellers in Kerala are having Music System and LED TV for entertainment. Travellers can stand inside the vehicle for some time when tired while on ride.
